Dear Lyn and Ken,
Just wanted to say Thank You again!!!! We really enjoyed our
time with you all. We appreciate so much all the help Ken
was with the dogs, as well as with use learning how to
handle them. We feel we accomplished a great deal in a short
time.
You two couldn't have been nicer and more hospitable, we
really felt welcomed and comfortable. Someday we hope to
return the favor.
We are disappointed that you all will be moving, but wish
you the best of luck on the trip as well in your new
endeavors.
Hope to keep in touch and again thank you so very much for
everything.
Sincerely,
Roy, Rinda, Kazan, Shadow and Bo

I highly recommend his work, for it was through his guidance
that I have acquired my job performance. May I add that his
diligence and dedication to his work are exemplary.
His methods of training rival those of other companies. with
his experience he would be a valuable asset to future handlers.

REF: Ken Schilling, K-9 Instructor To Whom is May Concern;
I submit this letter in reference to Mr. Ken Schilling, his
straightforward no nonsense instruction makes it easy for anyone
who is eager to learn and follow his program. Mr. Schilling is
a professional in all aspects. In a limited time he instilled in
me the confidence to handle two Police Multipurpose K-9's and
certify both. Even though the time under his tutoring was
brief, he left an undeniable mark upon my work, both as a person
and a K-9 handler. I am honored to recommend Mr. Schilling to
anyone who is seeking his expertise and advice His diligence
and dedication to his work are exemplary.
His methods of training rival those of other companies. with his
experience he would be a valuable asset to future handlers.

Big Dog, No Problem

We met Ken Schilling on
recommendation of our vet. Our wonderful dog Joey is a
mix breed with the main characteristic being from his
grandmother, a mastiff.
This dog now weights around 200 pounds, but even as a
puppy he was huge. Joey desperately needed a strong yet
gentle person to get his overwhelming ways in check.
Ken Schilling has proven to be the answer. He speaks
their language with a look and a firm quiet command. We
will be forever grateful to that vet for steering us in
the direction of this wonderful trainer and friend, Ken
Schilling. |
I have had the opportunity to work with Ken
Schilling since 1996. Ken is an amazing trainer. I quite often
refer to him as the "dog whisperer." Why, you ask? I have
observed Ken working hundreds of dogs over the years. He
immediately commands respect from each dog without ever laying a
negative hand on the dog. Ken uses a quick collar correction and
moves forward with praise when the dog does its job well. Tim
and time again, I have seen each dog look lovingly up to Ken
awaiting the next training instruction. Ken has a variety of
solutions to deal with many different situations. He has dealt
with some of the most difficult dogs and now I see them
attending lass on a regular basis as wonderful, happy canines.
The majority of Ken's work involve training the handler because
a well-trained handler gives the dog the best opportunity for
success.
Ken and his wife Lyn have raised two fabulous children. Ken and
Lynn are sincere and caring people. It is fun to spend time with
them because they love life for what it is. Ken and Lynn are
people with gracious hearts who try to work with all people,
regardless of the person's circumstances. I am please to see
them run a successful business and take every opportunity to
refer people in the community for their incredible cane care and
training services.
Roy B. Blackwell To Whom It May
Concern,
My name is Roy R. Blackwell. I have worked full time fopr the
Texas Department of Corrections in Brazoria County Sheriff's
Department and the West Columbia Police Department. I have
donated my time as a "Full time Non-Paid Officer" with the
Brazoria County Pct. 5 Constables Office, Surfside Beach Police
Department, Holiday Lakes Police Department and I currently am a
K-9 Officer with the Matagorda County Sheriff's Department. I
old an Advanced Peace Officer certificate through the Texas
Commission on Law Enforcement on Law Enforcement Officer
Standards and Education. I have known Ken
Schilling since December 1994 when I attended a Tactical K-9
School at his kennel. I recently attended a T.E.C.I.O.S.E.
accepted tracking and narcotics school where Ken 's imagination
and ability to set up realistic situation s never ceased to
amaze me. Ken helped me with my dog as well as helping me become
a better dog handler. Ken is pro-law enforcement and has opened
the doors of his kennel to myself and officers from other
departments. He has given his time and expertise as a trainer.
when needed, completely free of charge in an effort to further
the K-9 programs of our law enforcement agencies.
During my visit to Ken's kennel, I've always found them to be
spotlessly clean, the dogs well cared for and the safety of both
the dogs and the handlers to be of primary consideration for any
training exercise. I have complete trust in Ken Schilling and
have no problem stating that anything Ken says can be "taken to
the bank." Please fell free to call on me if I
can be of any further assistance. Respectfully,
Roy Blackwell Also see
