Ken Schilling has trained dogs to do just about anything. For people who need assistance dogs, Ken has developed a program for training them. Dogs can provide services like turning on light switches, alerting deaf people when the phone rings, or carrying items. Schilling’s does not train dogs for the visually impaired.
The average assistance dog is in training for about 1.5 years, and lives with the Schilling family, undergoing constant training. After training, the assistance dog is introduced to its new owner, making an immediate bond.
